Chief Technical Officer, Kongsberg Digital
After graduating from the University of Bergen in 2007 with a master’s degree in software development and Visualization, Øystein Hole embarked on a great journey with Kongsberg. Since 2008, Øystein has contributed to multiple Kongsberg entities, including Kongsberg Maritime Simulation, Kongsberg Maritime, and Kongsberg Oil & Gas Technologies (later to become Kongsberg Digital). Beginning as a software developer in a 3D visualisation team, Øystein pioneered applications and services for diverse sectors, from drilling to apartment interior planning. Unwilling to rest on past achievements, Kongsberg sought to revamp the legacy of visualisation technology – with Øystein spearheading the development. Inspired by contemporary game engines, this initiative birthed the Cogs 3D engine, the driving force behind Kognitwin and Industrial Work Surface visualisation tools. Today, Øystein is Chief Technology Officer at Kongsberg Digital, leading the development of The Industrial Work Surface.
