Katja Akentieva serves as the Vice President of New Energy Solutions for the Western Hemisphere at TGS. She has over twenty years of experience in the energy industry, with exposure across a diverse and global, technologically driven environment. Her competencies include value and revenue creation, investment risk management, digital innovation, and geoscience. 

In her current role, Katja is leading the efforts of leveraging companies’ capabilities to grow the new energy portfolio and providing strategic direction for company’s business diversification initiatives. This includes offshore wind, solar, geothermal and CCS technology ​

Katja holds an MSc in Geophysics and an MBA from the Erasmus University of Rotterdam.
