Terje Heierstad has been with KONGSBERG since 1993 and holds a master's degree in digital signal processing from NTH. His long experience from KONGSBERG has provided him with a unique understanding of the simulation needs of the maritime industry. In his role, he is leading the digital transformation for the maritime industry. In addition, he is developing the organization further, enabling it to deliver advanced simulator solutions to, for example, digital twins, autonomous vessel testing, pre-studies, and verifications of new maritime concepts, including ship and port studies for decision support.
